Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread is incredibly moist with a soft, yet dense, texture. Sweet bananas perfectly complement bittersweet chocolate.
Banana bread is an iconic dish in its own right, but when you add in chocolate… the results are unbeatable. The sweet, ripened bananas perfectly complement the bittersweet chocolate for an easy-to-make treat that never ceases to amaze. This Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread recipe has become a weekly staple in my house, loved by everyone who tries it and highly requested for get-togethers with my family and friends. Incredibly moist with a soft, yet dense, texture, this recipe is easily one of my favorite ways to use bananas.
Bananas are one of those foods that have a habit of turning brown because we can never seem to eat them in time, but luckily that’s exactly what you want when making this recipe! As bananas continue to ripen and brown, they get softer and sweeter, making them perfect for baking. Every week, I find myself purposely grabbing an extra bunch at the grocery store so I always have enough to make this recipe. At this point, I’ve probably made this Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread enough times that I could do it blindfolded. I’m telling you, I’m obsessed!
One of the beautiful things about this recipe is that it’s incredibly versatile. Depending on what kind of treat you’re in the mood for or what kind of cookware you have on hand, you can make it into a bundt cake, donuts, muffins, or the signature loaf. My personal favorite ways to enjoy Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread are as a bundt cake and as mini donuts. No matter how you choose to enjoy it, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
This easy recipe is perfect for your next socially-distanced holiday gathering, but be sure to make an extra one because it goes fast!

Hi! The ingredient list says baking soda, but the instructions say baking power. Which is it? Thank you.

This is my absolute favorite recipe! I've made it at least 3 times this season. I took it to friends who just had a baby, a friend who had surgery, and to a holiday party. The recipe does not miss and everyone who tries it is obsessed!
