Add egg, softened butter, and honey to your stand mixer and combine ingredients

Add warm milk and activated yeast to your mixer. Begin adding flour and sea salt flakes  one teaspoon at a time.

Knead the dough for an additional 3-5 minutes after adding flour. It should feel springy + elastic.

Cover your stand mixer's bowl with plastic wrap and a towel. Let dough rest in a warm area for 30 minutes

Prepare salted honey butter rolls: 

melt + combine honey, butter, & sea salt flakes

Divide into 24 equal portions about ¼ inch thick. Brush with salted honey butter & roll

Space rolls on baking dish & cover with plastic wrap. Leave in warm area for about 2 hours to proof.

Rolls should double in size & be touching. Brush salted butter on the rolls lightly coating them.

Bake at 350° F

Transfer rolls to the oven & bake 10-15 minutes (with convection, bake longer in a conventional oven) until the top of bread looks golden brown.
